600 miles of snowmobile trails makes for a great winter getaway
Northern Wisconsin offers six hundred of miles of well maintained and groomed snowmobile trails throughout Bayfield County. Many of these snowmobiling trails are in uninhabited and non developed national and state forests and parks. Because Northern Wisconsin and specifically, the Bayfield area, benefit from the lake effect snow, snowmobile riders are fortunate to have an extended snowmobile season and can experience snow conditions that rival that of other areas.
Bayfield County snowmobile trails are superbly groomed, well marked, and maintained by the Bayfield County Snowmobile Alliance and their dedicated volunteer members to give snowmobilers the smoothest and safest ride in Wisconsin.
Visit our Winter Recreation Report for trail information or call 715-373-6125 for current trail conditions or a snowmobile map.
