48th Annual Festival of Arts

July 31 - August 1, 2010

Over 90 artists from 9 states will gather for one of Wisconsin's largest art shows on Saturday, July 31st from 10am - 5pm and Sunday, August 1st from 10am - 4pm at Bayfield's 48th annual Festival of Arts.

This juried arts & crafts show is held annually in Memorial Park on the shores of Lake Superior in downtown Bayfield. Each year five participants are awarded "Best in Show" champions with $100 prizes. 2009 "Best of Show" winners were:

  • Barry Weiss, pottery
  • April & Jarrod Stone Dahl, woodworking and weaving
  • Andrea Puzakulich, fiber arts
  • Shirley Longfellow, photography
  • Terry Meyer, watercolor painting

Festival of Arts Gallery Walk
Saturday, July 31st, art lovers are in luck! In addition to exhibitors in Memorial Park, Bayfield artists will open their studios and galleries to visitors with open houses, demonstrations, and special sales as part of a gallery tour held in conjunction with the festival in the park.

Visitors will find a wide selection of pottery, painting, jewelry, sculpture, and glass among Bayfield's studios, and the opportunity to view the artists at work during this arts weekend.

Bayfield was recently named as one of the best places to live and work as an artist in "The Artist's Magazine", a national fine art publication.
