The Apostle Islands Sled Dog Race, Bayfield Wisconsin, invites you to experience the Midwest's largest and most exciting sled dog race as a participating volunteer. Over 70 sled dog teams come to Bayfield to compete in this top sled dog event. You can pick your spot as a volunteer - handle dogs by helping mushers hook up their teams or help bring teams up to the starting chute. Or if you choose, assist at "check points" on teams' progress or guide teams to stay on the trail.
Select a wonderful vacation package that combines the excitement of the sled dogs and the competitiveness of the mushers with evenings filled with restful nights, magical snowfalls and night skies, and warm firesides.
The cost for this fantastic package is $325.00 per couple for a 2-night stay and $400.00 per couple for a 3-night stay and includes the following:
* 2 or 3 night lodging package

* Friday evening "Meet the Mushers" Spaghetti Dinner
* Saturday Volunteer at the Races beginning at 10am
