Bayfield's Blue Moon Ball to be held this weekend

Bayfield's Blue Moon Ball isn't your average winter party; it's a black tie and vintage dress prom for adults! On Saturday, February 12th from 8pm to Midnight, the beautifully restored Bayfield Lakeside Pavilion will be transformed into a festive ballroom with hundreds of blue and white balloons adorning the ceiling, complete with sparkling disco ball. Along the frozen shore of Lake Superior, guests will dance to the swinging sounds of the 20-piece Big Woods Big Band and enjoy a beer and wine bar on the premises.

Don't hold back as you choose your attire. Head up to the attic, find that old prom dress and take it out for one more spin on the dance floor. Or, if prom dresses aren't your style, you can wear any sort of crazy costume you wish! In past years we've had Vikings, genies, hippies and more. Trophies are given for various categories including: best "blue" couple, best dancers, best vintage apparel and, of course, there’s the crowning of the King and Queen of the Ball. These trophies themselves are one-of-a-kind creations and originals are designed for every year's event.
