Bayfield is Ready to Bloom!

The 8th Annual Bayfield in Bloom runs May 14th through June 13th, featuring Larry Meiller from Wisconsin Public Radio

Bayfield, Wisconsin's 8th annual "Bayfield in Bloom" month-long spring celebration is set for May 14 through June 13, 2010. This year 40,000 daffodils will greet visitors as they enter Bayfield along with blooming wildflowers and apple & cherry blossoms throughout the orchards. Numerous activities are offered throughout the promotion, many focusing on gardening and the beauty of nature found in Bayfield, Wisconsin.

The kickoff event for this spring celebration features Larry Meiller, Wisconsin Public Radio's gardening show host broadcasting "Garden Talk" live at the Bayfield Pavilion on Friday, May 14th. Joining Larry will be a number of gardening experts who can answer questions and share their skills. Garden Talk will broadcast 11:00 AM-12:30 PM with a "Gardening Expo" before and after the broadcast (10:00-11am and 12:30 to 1:30pm).

• May 1-30th, Hauser's Superior View Farm "Red Barn Sale," field dug perennials, annuals, bedding plants, shrubs & fruit trees, 9am-5pm
• Saturday, June 5th, Bayfield Garden Tours, 10am-3pm, pick up map at Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center
• Sunday, June 13th, "Blessing of the Fleet" Free musical performance at the Memorial Park gazebo followed by ecumenical service and ceremony at Bayfield City Harbor
