| Visit Hauser's "Red Barn" sale for the best perennial sale in the state! |
In 1908 a gifted horticulturist named John Hauser settled in Bayfield, Wisconsin. He may have begun with strawberries and potatoes, but soon after perennials became his passion. Today, Hauser's Superior View Farms is one of the Midwest's largest producers of northern field-grown perennials.
The annual Red Barn Plant Sale runs through May, and visitors can shop from many of Hauser's own northern field grown perennial flowers. The sale will run through the month of May from 9am to 5pm daily. While there, people are encouraged to visit the second floor of the old Sears Roebuck & Co. barn for a spectacular view of Lake Superior, and stop in the Bayfield Winery for a sample of locally made wines made from locally grown fruits.
