Bayfield in Bloom

 

Admire over 50,000 blooming daffodils, a vibrant mosaic of roadside lupine & rolling orchards of apple blossoms bursting into rosy color during our week-long celebration of spring. Special events include  Garden Tours and the annual Blessing of the Fleet. Bayfield in Bloom runs from June 3 through June 12, 2022.

WPR Live Broadcast & Garden Expo

We are excited to bring back the live broadcast of Wisconsin Public Radio’s Garden Talk with Larry Meiller.
Where: Bayfield Lakeside Pavilion – 2 East Front Street

Blessing of the Fleet

Bayfield Playgrounds Fundraiser
Sunday, June 5
10 a.m. – Noon
Where: The Dock Shop & Pavilion (both located on Front St.).

A small but mighty group of Bayfield parents are raising money to renovate two of the City of Bayfield’s playgrounds (Cooper Hill and East Dock Park).  The event will feature a Silent Auction, Brunch and Kids Playtime. All are welcome!

Rain Garden Workshop
Saturday, June 11
8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m

Please join us for a FREE City-sponsored public workshop with Metro Blooms, experts in resilient landscapes. The workshop will include learning about rain garden installation and maintenance while helping to restore the rain gardens at the Old Courthouse grounds. 
 
Our goal is to expand green infrastructure by increasing local knowledge, connecting property owners with skilled contractors, and building volunteer capacity to support the City’s rain gardens. 
 
LOCATION: Old Courthouse grounds, currently the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Headquarters. 415 Washington Ave. in Bayfield
 
TIME: 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.  We are ending mid-afternoon so participants may fit the Bayfield in Bloom Garden Tour into their schedules. Even if you can’t attend the full session, please register for 1/2 day option.

Participants should be prepared to work in the rain gardens: wear work clothes and gloves. Final details will be sent to registrants by June 1st.
