Waterfalls

Some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Wisconsin are located along the south shore of Lake Superior in Bayfield, Ashland, Douglas, and Iron Counties.

State and county parks usually provide public access, although private property borders some of the falls. Please stay on established trails and take caution at the water's edge. Some locations are remote and require hiking across difficult terrain.

Download the Northwest Wisconsin Waterfalls Map, or stop by the Bayfield Chamber and Visitor Bureau in Bayfield (42 S. Broad Street) to pick one up and explore!

The Bayfield Peninsula and the Apostle Islands offers hundreds of miles of hiking trails with scenic overlooks of Lake Superior and sandstone formations.
